Construction Moves Forward on NGA's New St. Louis Campus

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), our neighbor here in Downtown North St. Louis, is nearing completion on their massive $1.7 billion Next NGA West campus. According to this CoStar article, the 3.5 million square foot campus spanning 99 acres is one of the largest federal construction projects currently underway. The modern facility will consolidate NGA's scattered St. Louis area offices into one secure location, housing over 3,000 employees focused on providing geospatial intelligence to the U.S. government and military. Some key highlights of the ambitious project:

  • Four office buildings ranging from 512,000 to 768,000 square feet

  • A 98,000 square foot visitor control center and parking structures

  • Sustainable design targeting LEED Silver certification

  • State-of-the-art security features befitting a spy agency

The campus is slated for completion in early 2025, with employees beginning to move in by mid-2025 after outfitting the interior. This massive undertaking is a significant investment by the federal government in the St. Louis region and will cement the city's role in national security for decades to come. 1We look forward to welcoming our new neighbors and witnessing the culmination of this impressive construction effort right here in North St. Louis. The NGA's arrival is sure to spur additional development and economic opportunities in the surrounding area.
